چکیده

The distribution system of the rf reference line for the linear collider is required to supply stable xband(11.424GHz) rf reference signal over 25km length within 1(0.25ps) stability. In order to realize the distribution system, an optical fiber link using a phase stabilized optical fiber was tested. The phase stabilized optical fiber has been employed at LEP, KEKB, etc.. This paper describes the proposed hardware system and result of the preliminary test of the feedback system for the phase stabilization.

Next Linear Collider Design Status*

The layout of the Next Linear Collider (NLC) has been revised to provide greater physics capabilities and to make the design more cost effective. The basic rf unit for the main linacs uses a solid-state modulator to drive eight 70 MW klystrons with a 3 μs pulse length. The rf power is distributed with a multi-mode Delay Line Distribution System (DLDS) to 8 girders of accelerating structures. Th...

Research and Development for an X-band Linear Collider*

At SLAC and KEK research is advancing toward a design for an electron-positron linear collider based on X-Band (11.4 GHz) rf accelerator technology. The nominal acceleration gradient in its main linacs will be about four times that in the Stanford Linear Collider (SLC). The design targets a 1.0 TeV center-of-mass energy but envisions initial operation at 0.5 TeV and allows for expansion to 1.5 ...

Inheritance of the fertility restoration and genotyping of rice lines at the restoring fertility (Rf) loci using molecular markers

The combination of cytoplasmic male sterility (CMS) in one parent and a restorer gene (Rf) to restore fertility in another are indispensable for the development of hybrid varieties. To genotype rice lines at the restoring fertility (Rf) loci, 38 lines were crossed with a sterile tester (rfrf) line. Pollen fertility test was performed to identify sterile and fertile F1 hybrids. Seven lines were ...

Scaling Linear Colliders to 5 TeV and Above*

Detailed designs exist at present for linear colliders in the 0.5–1.0 TeV center-ofmass energy range. For linear colliders driven by discrete rf sources (klystrons), the rf operating frequencies range from 1.3 GHz to 14 GHz, and the unloaded accelerating gradients from 21 MV/m to 100 MV/m. Except for the collider design at 1.3 GHz (TESLA) which uses superconducting accelerating structures, the ...
